Dr. Alleya James, OT, OTD
Dr. Alleya James has received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Methodist University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Purdue University. She treats both women and men for pelvic conditions. She received advanced training through the Essential Pelvic Health Institute and continues to complete subspecialty training with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute. Her passions and interests are bladder and bowel health and sexual health.
The field of pelvic occupational therapy is not only a passion but a calling for her. Having personally experienced pelvic dysfunctions herself, she provides a holistic approach to treatments and can put herself into her client’s shoes.
Dr. James was born and raised in Indiana and moved to the Raleigh/ Durham area 7 years ago. She currently resides in the Raleigh/ Durham area. In her free time, she is cooking and baking new recipes, reading, and spending time with her family including her fiance and 2 cats.
