About Us

Grace Physical Therapy & Pelvic Health

Grace Physical Therapy & Pelvic Health was founded by Dr. Erika Grace in 2013. Dr. Grace has had a lifelong interest in health and mental health, as well as cultivating a balanced life with less stress and more joy in our fast-paced, technology-driven world. As she was completing her doctorate in physical therapy, she became increasingly concerned about the changing face of healthcare and how it is impacting all of our health and wellness. We are facing rising healthcare costs and decreased access to care for patients, increasingly relentless work loads for providers, and extremely limited one-on-one time for patients with their provider.

Dr. Grace held a vision of creating a unique type of health care clinic – one where each patient feels seen as an individual, truly cared for and empowered, and has ample one-on-one time with their provider. One that creates a sense of community and belonging. One where providers and administrative staff care for one another, have work-life balance, and retain their passion for their work. She was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to try her hand at creating her vision, and Grace PT has flourished and grown to include three clinic locations in the Triangle.

To further our mission of increasing national and global access to pelvic health services, beginning in 2020 we are launching consultancy services under our sister company, Pelvic Health Matters. This includes Telehealth for distance patients, public and provider educational opportunities, mentorship for newer pelvic therapists, and other consultation services to expand our ability to help beyond the Triangle region.

We’ve included Dr. Grace’s original Vision Statement and Core Values for Grace Physical Therapy & Pelvic Health. It is still a work in progress, but we hope you’ll agree that we’re well on our way!
